Great times in Munich

Hello everyone. I am sorry that I have not posted for a little while, but I have been doing some traveling around Germany for the last couple of weeks. Over Easter weekend, me and my friends traveled south a bit  to Munich, Germany. Munich is the capital of Bavaria and is located close to the Austria border. The trip started with a five hour train ride and a long walk to the hostel. The only hostels available that weekend were in town but not near the Marienplatz. This is basically the city square.

From there we traveled throughout Munich visiting all the tourist attractions such as the Hofbräuhaus and the Englischer Garten (English Garden). The Hofbräuhaus was founded in 1589 by the Duke of Bavaria and is one of Munich's oldest beer halls. This brewery holds the second largest tent at the Octoberfest which is also held here in Munich. I would love to come back for that experience as well.

The next day we headed to the English Garden. This is one of the largest beer gardens in the world. To get the the beer garden you have to walk past a huge park. As we ventured around the park we noticed a lot of nude sunbathers. We found out later that that section of the park was called nudest park. Anyways, we spent most of the day traveling and hanging around the park and as the sun went down we ventured into the English Garden. It was surreal to see about 5,000 people in the park that day and about 7,000 people in the English Garden that night. It was a great experience...
